” La cantatrice chauve ” by Ionesco designed by Massin

Hey guys,

“La cantatrice chauve” is  a french play written in 1950 by Eugène Ionesco a romanian writer known for his big participation in the absurd theatre movement in France. In reaction to the “Crystal goblet” text by Beatrice Warde, I thought it could be interesting to put  “La cantatrice chauve” designed by Massin as a different point of view on typography. This book is Massin’s attempt  to “stage” this piece through typography and give the reader a genuine experience of this play . For my part, I think it’s a nice example to disprove Beatrice Warde’s statement because  Massin is here contributing to the content with his visual forms.
